Engineering expertise is a core competency of American Exchanger Services, Inc. With specialty programs such as in-house Finite Element Analysis, Thermal Rating, and custom proprietary design software, our engineers are well-equipped to develop the most efficient designs for any heat transfer equipment.

AM-EX President, Thomas J. Muldoon, PE, is a leader in the power generation and heat transfer industries with over 30 years of experience in the field. His son, Thomas R. Muldoon, has been Engineering Manager at AM-EX for 10 years.

AM-EX engineers lead the industry with published technical papers covering topics including extremely low vibration zone baffle designs with no tubes in the window and high performance vertical heaters with a central steam duct. These designs extend life and increase reliability of feedwater heaters.

In addition, our engineers offer their expertise and insight as consultants. AM-EX engineers are recognized and sought out by clients and peers in need of analyses, solutions or recommendations for their heat exchanger concerns.
